It is hard to believe that it is October. This is our soft open date. Are we ready?… no. Is that ok?… yes! You see we live by faith. Our website is not finished, the house is not painted, the grass has not grown back, but that’s ok. Five months ago fallout from the Covid catapulted us onto this journey far sooner than we could ever have imagined. We were happy and comfortable in our little lake house surrounded by the most amazing friends. However, adventure never comes to those who aren’t willing to step out in faith. For years our dream has been to retire and do something in the hospitality industry, we just love people. On May 5th we started our search and asked God to do His will, to open the doors He wanted opened for us and to not let us shoulder any doors we should not (if you know Kevin and I, God is the only one capable of that, ha!). After an extensive search, highly unlikely circumstances led us to Bonham and onto the front steps of Granny Lou’s Bed and Breakfast. We knew immediately that we were home. It has been balls to walls ever since. The few people that we have had the honor of meeting so far have been absolutely wonderful. It has been difficult to work and keep our goal in sight, when what we really wanted to do was get to know as many people as possible in our new community. So without further ado, allow us to introduce ourselves; Our names are Kevin and Cassondra Davis, we have four grown children, Keelan who attends Texas A&M University, Kelsie who attends Texas State University, Reis who is in the Air Force and is stationed at Tinker AFB and Haley who is a cosmetologist and lives near Lubbock with her husband Woody and our first grandchild Holly June. We are both retired law enforcement. Loving our friends, family, each other and most of all our Father is our greatest joy. We will be hosting several community events this month, and we hope that you will honor us by stopping and introducing yourself. We look forward to meeting you!
